I actually originally was in the process of switching to Aether but that didn’t pan out and lemmy was the next best thing when it came along. I wish they’d implement that 6 month auto-delete though. I understand the concept of things not being able to be taken back on the internet, but I think being able to trace back every single word a person typed going back a decade or more is silly. One Playlist of calming songs for them to sleep to and to listen to when they’re upset, and one Playlist of exciting songs for when the physical therapist needs to get them up and active!

Also, aside from friendships certainly not counting as a loss, a lot of men really underestimate the value of networking. Even if you’re not her type, odds are you might be one of her friends’ types and you want women to think you’re chill enough to be willing to introduce you to their friends who might be into you.

Over the years my psych nursing subspecialty has become violence management. I’m NB (to the extent that I’ve had surgery to remove gendered parts of me) and sometimes I just let my friends enjoy one of the biggest cultural events of their childhood without making everything about me because I’m capable of seeing that their actual actions have always been wholeheartedly supportive of me and that’s the part I actually care about.

My parents put me in tutoring and used to punish me for only being one class ahead in math. Did they maybe try to control my violent sister more or care that the other two were routinely calling me stupid? No, just punish me for being lazy.

My state essentially made nursing school free along with some other high demand positions in high demand fields but it’s just for community colleges so you’d still have to pay for medical school.
