You aren’t wrong. For me, I wanted cheap imperial stout all year long. It’s hard to find, and it’s always expensive, and happens to be my favorite. And I fit your demographic.
Maybe as a whole, DIY is a “middle class white” thing. Crafting, home improvement, gardening, etc. and beer is just a male-centric version of that.
I know things get more complicated as they scale up, but ideally, I would like to see a structure like we see in successful small tribes of people. They share ideas and respect each other, they work together to ensure that they all succeed TOGETHER. Sometimes difficult choices need to be made, but I would want leaders to choose the health and happiness of their people over their pockets.

I typically don’t watch playthrough videos, but I would say games that require more time or skill than I can offer. If the video creator can take a long, challenging game, and make a video of the highlights and random silly things they encountered while cutting out the monotony that happens in between, I’ll enjoy the video.
For example, Elden Ring. I played it for an hour and decided it wasn’t for me, but the kids will watch Elden Ring videos, and I’ll watch with them and learn about and experience that game without wasting my time playing something I don’t enjoy.
It’s a universal thing, you’ll see that everywhere. The only thing you can change about it is your mindset.
You see that they aren’t doing what you’re doing, and you’re jealous. That’s natural, but would you want to put the time and energy required to buddy up with the boss as much as these other people do? Do you want to learn the bosses favorite snack and bring some in? Do you want to go sit with co-workers at a bar after work and listen to their personal bullshit?
I don’t. So, I go to work, I do my job, and I get paid. Let them have all that other stuff. Even if it’s not how you deal with life, they’re using their skills (being charming) to survive just like how you use your skills (doing the job) to accomplish the same thing.
You can never see all the work that gets people where they are, so don’t assume that it requires more or less effort or skill than what you’re doing.
