All I’m saying is that a person hanging a picture of an anime chick in their cubicle is far enough outside the norm of office behavior that said person probably doesn’t have a good sense of social cues. There’s absolutely a difference between pictures of your family and pictures of your cartoon waifu.

Wallet in a side pocket. Started doing this on a vacation in a foreign city to be less pick-pocketable, and turns out I love it.

Depends on the cart, man. You can get some cheap-ass disposable 510 carts for nicotine that don’t look THAT different from the 510 weed carts. The atomizers are completely different, as is the wick, but the average person scanning doesn’t know that.
And as you get into disposable weed vapes they’re not dissimilar from the disposable nicotine ones. Again, different tech for actually vaping, since oils and PG/VG behave differently, but the average person won’t notice.

The Kansas Supreme Court ruled (rightly) that by precedent and voter will, Kansas’s constitution protects the right to abortion and does not allow the state congress to legislate on it. Hence the Senate bill cannot stand, because it would be a violation of the state constitution.
This is because of precedent and this ballot measure from 2022 which specifically said, by a no vote, that the state legislature does not have the authority to pass laws regarding abortion.

Saying that the US isn’t a democracy because it’s a representative republic is like saying a shape isn’t a rectangle because it’s a square.
We aren’t a direct democracy. But in a representative republic power still stems from the people voting (ostensibly). Demoi (δῆμοι) meaning “peoples” and kratos (κράτος) meaning “power,” we get “democracy.” Power from the people.
Right-wing tendencies are a knee-jerk reaction to increased immigration, which we’ll only see more of as climate refugees flee to more temperate zones. The world will shift to the right. This is going to get worse before it gets better, sadly.

Maybe. I don’t think those norms are enforced from above or anything. It’s one of those “read the room” type things. And that’s all I’m saying. Someone who would have a scantily clad anime poster in their cubicle at the engineering company I work at has failed to read the room. And thus I question their social understanding.
I also feel like it’s the sort of thing that makes a workplace less comfortable for some people. Like, I can imagine a woman working in the very male-heavy software and engineering departments who could find such posters off-putting. Just like it would be tacky to put up posters of a supermodel in a bikini on a muscle car.
Let’s maybe just not objectify people at work, you know?
